Stand Mixer, file this note

A few years ago I bought my wife a DeLonghi DSM7 stand mixer. The label on the inside of the base says "made in Italy", she has been extremely pleased with this mixer. This is the old Kenwood mixer that was made in England with the "K" beater. My daughter wants to upgrade her mixer and the DSM7 is no longer available so I have been looking for a substitute and noticed the Hamilton Beach CPM700 also has the "K" beater so I thought I would check into it. Called HB and it is the Kenwood mixer, unfortunately production has recently moved to China. Really toasts me as the price is more than I paid for the DeLonghi made in Italy. Go figure.

I'm trying to get information on Globe, but asside from that here is what I see in Stand Mixers:

Kitchen Aid, Assembled in Ohio, with pride however (we can guess where the parts come from)
Cuisenart, Made in China
Waring, Made in China (relabel of Cuisenart)
Hamelton Beach, Made in China (relabel of Kenwood)
Breville, Made in China

Viking, I haven't checked yet, but it's expensive and generally hasn't had good reviews

Am I missing anyone?

  1. Update on Globe and Viking:

    Viking, Made in China
Globe, Made in Italy (This is a bowl lift machine similar to the KA Pro)
