1st Choice Noodle House Opens in Alhambra

For those of you waiting for the next Vietnamese/Chinese noodle house to open up in the San Gabriel Valley, your ship has arrived. 1st Choice Noodle House has just opened up at the former Won Tin location (and most recently, Wing Tin) at 1124 W. Valley Blvd. Can't discern anything that distinguishes them from any other noodle restaurant, except the grand opening free drink special. If you do, please let me know.

You never cease to amaze me with your ability both to find and eat at restaurants before anyone else has done so.

If you lived in the area, you should have your own reality series: "Man versus Chinese Food". :-)

Actually, it should be "Dumplings, Dives and Dim Sum"

              Isn't that a 'Hound's handle?

I'm a noodle house fiend and found what's different with this place is the wide selection on the menu, cheap prices, and quality ingredients. Not cheap cuts of meat at all! I ordered a pho with steak and beef balls and you can see and definitely taste the difference. Friendly service and clean place. What I did find to be disappointing was that there was no mirror in the bathroom! So come hungry and with mirrors in hand.

Thanks. I had the fish noodle soup and it was ordinary. The filet mignon chow mein does sound interesting.
