Traveling from Mohegan Lake to NYC on Saturday. Would appreciate recommendation for casual place to sit down and have a quick lunch. Open to all types of food. Thanks!

Are you looking for something in Mohegan or on the way to the city? I know there is Brodies Pub in Mohegan if your looking for pub food or for Italian PIazza Roma is ok, that is in the Cortlandt Town Center.

I'm not sure how quick it will be, but there's a new restaurant on Rt 202 in Yorktown called Thyme. It's owned by Neil Ferguson, who used to be at Monteverde. They're open for lunch according to their website (this assumes they are open already, call to make sure).

If you eat there please report back. Another option is Grandma's Pies, also on 202. Food is so-so but the pies are great.
