Cardamom and Tea???

Hi. When adding cardamom to a tea strainer is it better to use ground cardamom or the crushed pods? Thanks in advance.

    Donna got a seperate jar, and put in tea bags and cardomom. Over time, they infused

      I crush 2 cardamom pods & add to the teapot when I'm brewing; no need to boil. If the pods are old, you might need more pods. Fantastic!

          Usually, the lightly crushed pod is added to the water as it is boiling (along with whatever other spices you want, e.g. ginger, cinnamon, black peppercorns, etc.).
