Gluten Free Rec's in San Diego..
Haven't been on here in forever. We went gluten free almost 2 years back, so hearing all the delish things y'all were eating (that I could no longer have) was torture!
So.. just checking to see if there were any fellow gf'ers that had some great gf safe places to eat. :)
Bud's Louisiana Cuisine. All of the menu, except for 2 items, are gluten free. The chef has celiac disease, so he knows how to cook for the gluten-intolerant.
Any of the pho places would be gluten free b/c the pho noodles are rice-based.
Saffron will do wheat-free soy sauce if you ask for it.
Morita-san at Kaito altered his omakase for a friend of mine w/ celiac dz and she still swore it was the best sushi she'd ever had!
Any of the Korean tofu houses are gluten free (ie: no soy in the soups).

Lots of places to choose from these days. My husband has celiac so we have done a lot of investigation over the last few years. Here a few restaurants on our list.
Pizza Fusion - Hillcrest
Brick Oven Pizza - Poway
Swedish Royal Bakery - Poway
Gluten Not Included Bakery - Escondido
Jimbo's - Great GF Baked goods (Carmel Valley is the best store)
Ritual Tavern - South Park
Urban Solace - North Park
BJ's (I haven't tried their gf pizza but I heard its good)
This is just a few. I think there is a SD Celiac group with a more comprehensive list.

You are all awesome!!! I knew there would be a ton of info on here. :)
I, thankfully, don't have celiac, but I am gluten intolerant, and will be for life because of FMS. I still have to be very careful, just not as diligent as a true celiac. :)
I'm definitely looking up these places. Oh, and I have tried BJ's gf pizza, and it is awesome! I mean, for someone who hasn't had wheat/gluten in 2 years, it was great!
Also, La Jolla Cups (cupcake bakery) offers a gf cupcake every day. Flavors change daily, but the one I had was divine... Limone Ricotta. Yum.
