Trying to find a steak house I ate at about 15 months ago in Atlanta

While attending a convention in Doraville a group went to a steakhouse within about 5 miles of the 285/85 junction. It was next to a major mall. The interior was the exposed utilities popular recently. The kitchen area was in the center of the restaurant and visible to most tables. They used a salamander to prepare the best Pittsburgh style Rib Eye I have ever eaten. Will be coming to the NE Atlanta area in mid November and would like to find this steak house. Can't remember but it was part of a small chain and I think it was called Daves or Dick or something like that. Any help finding will be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds more like you were over by the Perimeter Mall area over by 285 and GA400. Joey D's Oak Room maybe? Or possibly Garrisons which is attached to the mall.

Joey Ds is good, but McKendricks is great, and more expnesive--but if you luv steak, its worth it--if you go ask for Taco as your waiter--its right across from the Mall o the east side of it
