20Lb. Turkey in September?

I am having a dinner party next week for 6 and would like a 20 lb turkey (so there are leftovers) yes I know that it's big but this isn't my first time to the rodeo, just my first bird outside of Thanksgiving.

Anyway point being, does anyone know a place to get a bird this week? Fresh killing is preferable.

Bolton's Turkey Farm in Silverdale (Bucks County)

I don't know where you are located but D'Angelo Bros in the Italian Market carries fresh free range turkeys. He should be able to get them that big but you should call ahead; at least he should be able to order it. The other poultry places down there can likely get it if ordered, too, but I don't know about the freshness.

It sounds like you don't have time, but the poultry people at the Headhouse Square farmer's market take special orders and will bring them the following week. That would be a good way to get a fresh kill.

You can always try your luck at the live poultry places on 9th St south of Washington; not sure if they have turkeys that big though, and I hope your Spanish is good...

I know I may be too late:
Stolzfus Poultry at the Ardmore Farmers Market will have.

Come help yourself. These homeless domestic turkeys were visiting my deck yesterday.
