Am looking for something very special and memorable for myself, 18 year old and husband.
thinking of maybe a
prix fix
or maybe something memorable like a
theme restaurant or a
very ethnic and urban experiece.
I live in small town in NC and looking for something different.
(am from NYC so love city life!!)\

Thank,
Dix

What neighborhood are you looking for? Price range? It's a sort of wide net to cast - prix fixe or ethnic?

I just had another amazing meal at Miller Union in west midtown, would recommend that for a special night. For upscale(ish) AND ethnic, I've heard good things about Tuk Tuk Thai Loft, or maybe Tamarind Seed?

        A "theme restaurant" - http://www.dantesdownthehatch.com/

Dante is a former Navy Seal, world traveler, and I think he mingles a lot with the crowd. I haven't been in a long time so maybe someone else can give an update if needed. Limited menu though.

Bacchanalia is, for me, a wonderful place to treat yourself. Just delicious, excellent food with top notch service.

Tasty china is a meal you will never forget. It is truly authentic Szechuan Chinese food. There are things on the menu with names like hot and numbing beef roll. Peter Chang the nomad chef with a cult like following has returned to Tasty China. People drive from miles away to taste his food.
