Sur La Table Classes-is it worth it?

cremebrulee Sep 18, 2010 09:29 AM

I wan to take a cooking class at Sur La Table with a friend as a gift for her birthday.
She loves chocolate and doing fun activities like this. Sur La Table offers a "hands-on" chocolate workshop for $69.00. each
The menu is:
"Chocolate Biscotti, Chocolate Caramels, Chocolate Espresso Pots de Crème, Silky Chocolate Pudding, Individual Chocolate Souffles, Bittersweet Chocolate"

These items don't really impress me. I mean, chocolate pudding? I could navigate my way through all these in my own kitchen. Do you think they're going to up-sell their products while we are in the class?

So, what should I do? Is it worth it?

No! These are for people who are just starting to cook. The free classes, most Saturday mornings at Surfas are as good or better.
