Alfredo's on PCH in Lomita is my current favorite. Get it con pata for the full experience. The broth is wonderful and the tripe is perfectly cooked.

Try Tacos Delta in Silverlake--you sit in the back and they bring out a huge bowl of menudo--very nice with some limon and cilantro--about 5.00.

Lisa's Coffee Shop is not much to look at from the outside (or inside) but it is a down-home road dinner with a good American breakfast menu and a authentic bowl of Red Menudo on the weekends (While it last so be early) I just had a bowl last Saturday morning and it very good. I have also had the Pork Chops & eggs, Biscuits & Gravy, Jumbo Omelette w/ meats or veggies, Golden/crispy hash browns on the outside-moist on the inside. All those breakfast are very good as well. I noticed the number of people coming on the weekend is growing.

Also, I have heard that Mijares (both Pasadena locations) make a good bowl.
