Long Beach-Lakewood Brunch Tomorrow

Nothing like late notice, eh? I'm not really a bruncher but I got roped into doing it tomorrow (Saturday) in the Long Beach vicinity. Don't have a clue. All suggestions greatly appreciated. Ordinarily I'd promise a review, but given my feelings about brunch generally, maybe that would not be fair. TIA.

  1. I'm not sure if they are open on Saturdays, but Lasher's on Broadway does a nice white table cloth brunch without a heavy priced tab. Good southern inspired brunch like crab cake benedict. I haven't lived in Long Beach for quite a while, so some of my suggestions might be dated. Queen Mary used to do a Sunday brunch...not so sure about Saturday. For a more casual brunch, there's Schooner or Later, Coffee Cup Cafe. I'm not sure about Cafe 212. Never been there, but I hear it's pretty good. On the Mark looks cute.

      thanks a lot.

    2. Lasher's looked a good pick, but it did not have Saturday brunch. As is often the case, i chose to improvise and go to the Lobster Festival in San Pedro, It's not cheap and you need to bring something to crack shells (ended up using a water bottle) but very very tasty.
