Chicken Fried Steak

One of the great meals of our lives was chicken fried steak, mashed potatos, collard greens and cream sausage gravy from a chef out of texas. There is nothing like this in
Boston-not much of anything in Boston.

Where is the best chicken fried steak in NYC? Will take extra lipitor that day!!

Has anyone else tried the CFS at the Brindle Room? I had it for brunch and it was delicious.
You can also buy cube steak at Food Emporium and make it yourself, it's not too challenging and it should be cheap - traditional poverty food that always seems to be wearing a high price tag in these parts.

So far my husband likes the CFS at Blue Smoke the best. He's tried Brother Jimmy's, Annies Truck Stop, Cowgirl Hall of Fame & Dukes.
