Suggestions for places to eat in Hamilton please

  • 2

I am driving with my 2 children (16 & 12) on Thursday Sept 23 straight from work/school for Celtic Thunder show at Hamilton Place. I will park at the city lot on King/Bay. I'd appreciate suggestions for place to eat (within walking distance) that's reasonable. We prefer non-chain, we like all kinds of food/international cuisines and we really like trying something different. We likely have between 5:00 - 7:00 only to have dinner. Thank so much.

  1. It is not walking distance but you can park for free on the street out front the restaurant. I recommend taking them to The Harbour Diner. www.harbourdiner.com
Everyday they post their specials on their online chalk board. They also have a great regular menu. Portions are huge, prices are low and most importantly food is great!

    1. Papagayo (Mexican) only a couple of blocks west of King/Bay (at 246 King St. W.) would be my choice. La Luna (middle-eastern), another block west of Papagayo, is another possibility (306 King Street West). I like Harbour Diner too but you'd definitely have to drive there.
