Tiny town, tiny restaurant, biiiig food
Who would have thought?. An unassuming small place, and the great decor hits you first. Then the attentive waitperson with suggestions. The entire menu is Phillipines, I assume. I couldn't translate. It was late afternoon, we were tired of driving and stopped on a whim. We had some appetizers, just the right amount and cooked on order. Great presentation, and the food was crispy with sauces and edible garnishes.
There even is a puzzle game on every table. I loved it, though I only got a barely passing grade.
Such a surprise, don't you love it when that happens?

The restaurant is the Manila Bay Cafe. It is owned by a Filipino (possibly Filipino American) and offers dishes from many parts of Asia including the Phillipines, Japan, Thailand, etc. PLUS a few European dishes. The menu is in English. Many languages are spoken in the Philippines, with Tagalog being one of the major ones

I couldn't possibly tell you. Something like fried wontons. The menu is in Phillipinese, ?, but the waitperson was happy to translate. Dayton is about 125 miles south of Spokane, and people go there for a famous French restaurant, Patit Creek, only open by reservation. You may have heard of it.
I think the wine tours go by Dayton and it has really spiffed up the downtown, we saw other promising places.-----
