Recommended eats in the Marais?

We're staying in the Marais for a week. What shouldn't be missed?
Thank you!

  1. I wouldn't miss the smoked duck crepe at Breizh Cafe, that's for certain.

I also like Breizh Cafe, but my choice is the ham, cheese, artichoke and egg crepe, along with a pitcher of cider.

    2. What about Claude Colliot (40 Clos des Blancs-Manteaux)? was there for lunch last winter and it was nice.

My parents also had an excellent meal (dinner) there in May.

      2. La Gagne is a don't miss in my book. Still thinking about the lunch I had there in December.

        1. There is a lot not to be missed in that area.
Claude Colliot restaurant, Pâtisserie Le Pain de Sucre, Terres de Café on rue des Blancs-Manteaux, Robert et Louise (on a good day), Café des Musées, Café Le Progrès (rue de Bretagne), Taeko (Japanese caterer) in marché des Enfants-Rouges, L'Estaminet (Marché des Enfants-Rouges), Jacques Génin (pâtisserie)... Etat Libre d'Orange (rue des Archives) : not food, perfume, but don't miss the shop.

          1. Go to Le Gaigne; 12 rue Pecquay. 75004 PARIS ...
The price is more than reasonable for a beautiful, little spot in the Marais. The vegetable millefeuille was divine. We split it and were sure we got two full size portions for the price of one. The taste was so fresh one could envision the tomatoes growing on the vine.
The fish entrees were superb; our only disappointment was the molten chocolate cake. But, we
hardly needed it! It was a great meal. The very friendly waitress was helpful - her english was limited but so too is our french.
