Good place in Aspen for dinner?

HowlinPup Sep 16, 2010 07:35 AM

I'm in Aspen tonight with my wife and three-month old son. We'd like to find a place to eat dinner tonight. Somewhere welcoming of baby would be great. (He's gone to many places with us, and is a calm little fella.) Wide open on type of food, although something unique to Aspen would be awesome.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I hope you found someplace good. If I had been on Chowhound two days ago, I would have suggested the Red Onion -- an Aspen institution that was closed for a couple of years but reopened not long ago. Where did you end up going? Did you like it?

And how did your son do? I have an 11-week-old daughter and our restaurant visits are still pretty hit-or-miss right now, depending on her mood.

Red Onion is a good choice. May also want to check out Hickory House Ribs -- its an Apen Institution
