Suggestions for really cheap way to feed a large group in Durham, NC (cheap pizza works)
Can anyone suggest a cheap location where I can get a lot of pizza or other really cheap food to feed a large group? And to give it some context, when I say cheap I need to be looking at no more than a dollar or 2 per person.
If there is somewher that delivers that would be best, but not required.
Thanks for the help!
Domino's Pizza is proabbaly the best bet. Whenever my kids' school or PTA throws a shindig and offers food, Domino's is what they offer because you can get a large Cheese for about $5. I would contact your closest Dominos and inquire. I wanna say that the pizza is a large size but it may be a medium, but for $5, you cannot go wrong if your looking to feed a bunch of folks for about $1/$2 per person.
Thanks for all the replies! Ultimately we went with Pizza from Costco (their tomato & basil one was by far the most popular), and then got some chicken salad, egg salad and bread and made sandwichs with that.
Not sure that I would do the sandwichs again next time but the price was certainly a big plus!
A dollar or two a person would also depend on the size of the group wouldn't it? This sounds like it is to be taken out and served elsewhere correct? Otherwise, I'd say look into greek buffet at Sparticus or take them all to Cici's (Okay just kidding). I like Randy's Pizza but it is not cheap comparatively. Cheapest way to feed a large group... Hmmm how much are party sized subs? Bagels and Cream cheese (and maybe a few other items). I think all pizza places deliver, but some only do a certain radius. Oh, you could get a load of tacos from a tacqueria. Chubby's tacos are at the minimum $2 each.. just a thought. What type of crowd are you feeding?
