  1. I love A Toute Heure in Cranford(byob), although reservations are tough. Verjus in Maplewood is always delicious to me. Chez Chatherine is always getting great right-ups, but I have never been there. Happy Anniversary :)

Plan on taking my mother in law for her bday to A Toute Heure. Looking forward to it.

    2. Sounds like if you haven't been to Restaurant Blu in Montclair, this is the perfect opportunity!
Creative, interesting, wonderful food, ridiculously good prices, a NYT Excellent review, you can get as dressed up or down as you like, and it's BYO to boot. :-)

Montclair has so many great options that we have not tried yet. Thanks for the suggestion. Have heard great things about Blu.

      2. Le Rendezvous in Kenilworth.

        BYO French...superb!

Le Rendezvous is outstanding. We eat there all the time. It's a close drive for us, food always amazing(love the rabbit) and the bill is painless with it being BYO. Looking for a change only because we dine there frequently

        2. All excellent choices. May I add Lorena's, also in Maplewood into the mix.

We have been to Lorenas and it was outstanding but it was a bit ago. Would definitely go back but you usually ned a few weeks ahead to get a reservation.

          2. It may be a bit further than you want to travel, but I highly suggest Amanda's in Hoboken. (They validate parking at a nearby parking garage, so you don't have to worry about finding a parking space.) Amanda's is a wonderful restaurant with great food and an adult ambiance. The owners/hosts are Joyce and Eugene Flinn and they are such warm and inviting people. The resatuarant occupies the space of two converted brownstones and is just beautiful. You won't be disappointed.
