Near Hotel Cafe?

  • 6

I could always do Hungry Cat, Los Balcones del Peru, or Magnolia but I've done them all before. Any novel ideas?

  1. Time for Musso & Frank?

    1. That is a tough one, but I'm interested as well since I always go to those same places.

Servorg mentioned Musso's which I sometimes enjoy if sitting at the bar in front of the grill. Even better if Manny is serving. A block over is Loteria of course. But I can't think of anything worthwhile that's a bit more under the radar...

I guess I wasn't sure if this was for lunch or dinner? If for dinner then someplace like Lou on Vine or possibly Amarone (maybe too far from home base?) could enter into the equation.

      2. What about Kitchen 24? Haven't been but I've heard good things.

        1. I don't know if either of these qualify as 'novel' but they are walking distance from Hotel Cafe: Tender Greens and The Mercantile.

          1. And the District is right next to the Mercantile. Good Yorkshire Puds. Los Balcones just reopened with a new menu and design. Maybe you could check that out and share a review?

Oh and Isn't there a Bodega wine bar on Vine and Sunset? Not sure of their food though.
