Where can I find an open sided wok ring?

I need an open sided wok ring. The one I have is closed with small holes on the side, and it doesn't do a good job of heating my wok. I have a gas stove, and the open sided one is the one that's needed. I checked around, and all I'm seeing are the closed ones. I noticed that Joyce Chen made one, but it has such lousy ratings, so if you know where I can buy a decent open sided wok ring, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but I bought a wok ring from the Wok Shop and then cut it open using some metal cutters so that it sets all the way down onto my gas stove.

You should able to find those in Chinatowns and maybe (just maybe) in Asian supermarkets.

Check (I'd call) The Wok Shop in SF... They have most everything made for woks.

That's a shame. Just a year ago the wok shop sold only the open, welded wire stands. But as far as I can tell, it's the same item as the Joyce Chen model sold on Amazon. I would not worry about the reviews too much. The one I bought was in good shape and has held up for a year. If you get one with weak or broken welds, just send it back and ask for a replacement. Repeat as often an needed. As for the comments about shifting on the stovetop, any wok ring will have that problem.
