Inexpensive (take-out or counter svc) dinners in Flatiron/Union Sq?

Hi - new to the boards here. All input is greatly appreciated!

I teach night classes until 8pm 3 nights / week near 16th & 5th. I'm looking for inexpensive places to pick up dinner when I'm done before I head home for the night. Any suggestions? Preferable take-out/counter service type places w/a few tables or food I can take and sit outside. Table service ok if place is inexpensive and worth it.

No sushi, but open to all other suggestions.

Thanks!

The pita place next to Num Pang has a delicious chicken gyro or platter.

Num Pang.... their 5 spice pork belly is fantastic. There is a small area to eat upstairs.

Try Rhong Tiam. Take out counter with limited seating but the food is good and super spicy (once you get past the confusing listing of juices and random items).

I'd recommend the khao soi and the southern style chicken. If you want non-spicy, the pepper beef is good too.

Rhong Tiam doesn't really belong in the inexpensive category, in my opinion.
