Greek grocery goods in Twin Cities

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good greek grocery goods store now that Spiros on University went out of business? Since we moved back to the Twin Cities (St. Paul) a few years back, they have been our only source of quality Greek food. Specifically, I'm looking for a place which would have Jotis Bechamel (or any besamel) mix, Nescafe (Greek style, not the kind sold in hispanic food stores), feta in bulk (not pre-packaged), greek-style pitas, lebni, filo dough, kasseri and kefalotiri cheeses, garlic-stuffed olives, orzo, pastitsio macaroni, etc... Bonus points if they make their own kataifi!

I've tried some of the middle eastern stores but they're a lost cause. Workers at Caspian Bistro were downright rude. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Oh, so sorry to hear about both Spiros and the response you got from Caspian. I wish I knew whether or not it would meet your needs, but have you tried Bill's Imported Foods on Lake St. in Minneapolis?

Thanks for such a quick reply! I have not tried Bill's but I will definitely do so this week. I did some quick searching and it sounds like it is a great Greek foods importer. Sounds like that will be a good solution. Thanks!

Bill's is excellent. I'm not sure if this is still the case but they didn't take credit cards when I used to shop there.

Good tip since I rarely carry cash. Thanks!

Bill's is good but keep in mind that they close at 7pm Mon-Sat.

Bill's has imported wild hand-picked oregano still on the stalks!
