I just read today that the Rockport Roadhouse has closed. I'm not here to necessarily lament the fact from a foodie perspective, but I do think it served a particular "family" niche.
Here's my question. That place was ALWAYS packed when it was Cody's. After it became the Roadhouse, it looked like a ghost town (and my understanding is that it was the same owners). Does anybody know what happened?
The Rockport Roadhouse which was as said, Cody's. Cody's Roadhouse has 12 franchise locations around Florida and at one time, thought that it was a good idea to franchise in mid-coast Maine. I don't know what went "south" with the deal with the local owners, probably it just got too tight.
Hadn't heard that but I am not surprised. Seems like the last two times I went, once as Cody's once as Rockport Roadhouse, the food and service had taken a turn for the worse. Really too bad as it was a great place at one time to take my entire family for a good meal that was a decent value as well.
