chelsea area

Hello!
Going to a fashion show on 25th and 10th ave on Wednesday night with my dad and want to grab dinner afterward. Any suggestions of where we should grab dinner after? Willing to move downtown a little bit but would prefer to go uptown. Nothing Asian, my dad is in town visiting from Hong Kong. We love Italian (have alread been to Del Posto), French and American cuisines.
Thanks!
Ashley

Red Cat & Trestle - both good suggestions. I'll add Colicchio & Sons and Cookshop as well on the Southern end. If you want to do Italian again but not repeat DP, there's always Scarpetta. A little North of that there are a couple very good highish-end Mexican places as well, if that's to your taste - Suenos and Crema. And on 22nd(?) is Klee, which is generally pretty solid.

If you're willing to head East you've got The Breslin - HIll Cuntry or RUB for BBQ - further there's Tabla, Eleven Madison Park (if you can get a rezzie),, etc...

I'd vote for Trestle on Tenth...which is also right there, 24th and 10th. More intimate than Red Cat, easier to talk.

Second that; it is well-prepared modern American cuisine, which should be nice for your dad to try. You may get some decent people-watching in as well.
