Anchovy Question???

My wife and I are interested responses to the following question...

Do you think it is is appropriate to order a "Classic Caesar" salad @ $9.00 and
request Anchovies with it, only to be presented afterwards, with an additional $ 2.00 charge? Thoughts and comments???

I had a similar problem with an upscale Phoenix restaurant...charged $2.00 extra for blue cheese dressing on the side salad. Our party (which included a prominent Phoenix citizen) uniformly told the owner how tacky it was, and that neither we nor any of our friends will ever return. I heard that later he changed his policy of cheapness.

Not without prior communication. As anchovies are part of a "classic" caesar's salad, I would theoretically expect them. In reality, more people want them left out than included, so most restaurants don't include them. Still, it is supposed to be a part of it, and if a restaurant intended to charge more they should state that fact.
