Home Plate Burgers in Reseda to become Fatburger?

Just noticed the giant FATBURGER painted on the roof this afternoon - anyone have any info?

I live two blocks away and my brother went to Home Plate today and was told it'll be an official Fatburger as of 10/01----No more driving to VN or WH! Lol

i really wish it was still home plate burgers, they were probably the only joint in town that served up a Detroit Coney Island Chili Cheese dog. (which is way different than a Brooklyn, NY Coney Island Dog, natch).

Yup, those Coney Island Chili Cheese dogs are the best in town. They used to film many episodes of "My Name is Earl" at Homeplate. That spot is an unofficial landmark.

There's a Fatburger on Devonshire and Balboa. It's been there for years. You don't have to drive out to Van Nuys or Woodland Hills!

And when I went after hotdogspot.com reviewed it, a pretty tasty and inexpensive burger!

It was a burger/dog place, yes. They had the huge hot dog painted on the roof.

Interesting, in that some Fatburger units are being closed, since the parent company went Chapter 11 back some time ago, as did its largest franchisee, one based here in southern california. Not sure if either or both have come out of BK yet.

It's hard to say exactly what's going on...the Fatburger sign is only partially painted and there doesn't look to be much actual activity there.

it's completely painted now and is definitely becoming a Fatburger.

ah, man, i really really really liked the crinkle cut chili cheese fries here. is it still going to be home plate burgers for at least a litttle whilee longer? this is the place on reseda and saticoy, right, catty corner to the car wash, correct???
