Request for "reviews" of four Nashua NH restaurants

I haven't gone through the Chowhound lists very thoroughly, so apologies if reviews have already been posted for these...

1. Manhattan on Pearl (which I thought we had visited, but we hadn't)
2. The Seedling Café
3. Peddlar's Daughter
4. (Unknown restaurant at 116 West Pearl St. that replaced "Jasmine's")

I have not eaten at any of these, but we pass them a lot as we go through downtown Nashua.

We take a well behaved six year old daughter with us, and we do NOT drink.
(Which may mean that you have to give to both recommend and not recommend these restaurants at the same time??)

  1. Not a review of any but, this may help:

    1. Stella Blu (formerly MOP)http://www.stellablu-nh.com/
2.The Rustic Leaf Bistro (in Milford) owners from Seedling moved here. http://therusticleaf.com/
    3. Peddlar's still there, I haven't eaten there in close to 5 years, and when we did it was usually for lunch, decent.
    4. Thousand Crane is there now http://thousandcranerestaurant.com/

Stell Blu and Rustic Leaf you should be able to find posts about them.

If you don't drink, kind of pointless to go to Stella Blu, which is a martini bar with small plates. Very loungey vibe. Not on your list, but a great vegetarian option is Meena's Kitchen, across the street from Thousand Crane.

    2. Seedlings Cafe is still good. It's a great lunch spot - except I don't usually bring my daughter their because they charge an arm and a leg for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich which is pretty much all she eats on the menu - I love their tofu sandwich. New owners are doing a good job keeping with the original ethos of the place after a slightly rocky start.
Peddlar's Daughter is not my favorite place in nashua - it's basic pub food. I do love their sweet potato fries and homemade ketchup. Not totally kid friendly but it is nice to eat outside if the weather permits it but since you don't drink the beer selection is a number one reason for stopping there so it's probably not a great stop for you.
I like Thousand Crane. I think they do a better job with their Sushi items than their chinese foods. I love Meena's. It's real homemade indian food tends to be a little on the spicy side so our daughter does some tasting and is learning to enjoy spicy foods but it's still a little much for her.
Tacos Colima is worth a stop. They are an authentic mexican restaurant.
Michael Timothy's is a terrific place to stop and I am sure your daughter would enjoy it. No kids menu but my child always finds something to eat. Check out the menu online.

      1. Peddlar's Daughter is a great place to go for a beer and some atmosphere, but avoid the food. I've eaten there several times over a period of several years (last time about 1.5 years ago, so maybe it has improved) but it was always pretty bad. It's a shame, really, because otherwise the place has a lot going for it.

        1. Manhattan on Pearl is a Martini Bar. I haven't been there in a few years (not a Martini drinker, but the Mojito there was pretty good). For food, hey have Tapas. It seems like they envision themselves as a "warm-up" bar for people that are heading to Michael Timothy's or Surf. Perhaps as an "apres" bar for those restaurants when after dessert. A bit expensive and eclectic. Decent, but it's really not a destination in and of itself, at least for dinner. I did it a couple of times and moved on.

Peddler's Daughter is very much like its Haverhill sister restaurant, although I think the Nashua location is smaller. Decent beers, and a few items on the menu worth eating.
