Special occasion restaurant that is open on Sunday night?

Looking to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday in DC this Sunday night. Most restaurants like Komi, Eve etc. are closed on Sundays. Sat. is 9/11 and many are closed as well.
Any ideas of others at the same scale?

Le'Auberge Chez Francois is beautiful, and fits the bill for a special occasion restaurant. Also how about 2941

I don't think you'll have a problem finding a reservation for Saturday night (unless they are booked since you are only a day away).

But if you are really wanting to go out on Sunday, there are a number of great restaurants to go to. How about: Blue Duck Tavern, Equinox, J&G Steakhouse (make sure to go up to the roof for an after dinner drink), Black Salt, and Bistro Bis.

Sunday night? Marcels, 1789, 701, Kinkeads, Equinox, BourbonSteak,

Given that is the Skins/Dallas game, getting a reservation shouldn't be any problem.

Yes - Marcel's! Some of the best meals I've ever eaten in DC were at Marcel's, and I liked my last meal there more than a recent visit to Komi.
