Pasha on W 71 or Epices on W 20 - help me choose

Hello all NYC Hounds -

I'm traveling up from DC for a meeting later this month and have been offered dinner by a friend at either Pasha or Epices. Both look wonderful so it's a tough choice. I'd love some input, advice, and thoughts about which one would be the better choice.

Epices is not so good, Pasha is good Turkish, not great Turkish.

Hanci Turkish at 854 10th Ave at 57th Street is not too far from the UWS and is great.

I've never been to Epices but went to Pasha as part of a group of around 8-10 (I forget just which cousins were there) a few years ago. Now granted that it was a few years ago, but the food was just OK, and I never had the urge to return.

Pasha. I actually dined there with a DC friend a couple of years ago. Flavorful food and decent service. That said, I haven't returned, yet, even though it's in the neighborhood. But at least I've thought about returning, at some point. I only ate at Epices years ago. Nothing memorable and I haven't returned.

i live nearby and have only ever been to Pasha. the food was quite good, although, not to where we go there often. Epices never really called to me.

I haven't been to Savaan, but we go to Bistro Cassis on occasion. its not destination worthy, but it could pass for a decent meal.

Have not been to Pasha, Epices was not very good, and the service rather poor. It never looks crowded. Savaan and Bistro Casis are much better choices in the neighborhood
