Chicken parm w/ pasta and salad; take out for a party

Blumie Sep 8, 2010 12:05 PM

Serving approximately 25 at a party in Lincoln, MA. I'm coming from Cambridge. I'm thinking Basta Pasta (with their terrific fusili). Anyone have a better suggestion?

Vinny's at Night Broadway in Somerville. Can't beat it.

If you go to Vinny's, get the mafalde. It's homemade and I think it's the best pasta on their menu.

Check out Bob's in Medford, not too far out of the way (depending on where you are coming from in Cambridge). They make a great chicken parm accompanied by penne and a thick red sauce. Salads are huge as well.

Basta Pasta is a good choice, especially with their fusilli. You could also consider Dom's in Waltham. Not sure if their pasta is al dente, but I've loved everything else I've had from there.
