Quick Bite at Misaki in Hyannis

I was in town for a meeting so pulled in to W. Main Cumbie's for gas (2.92 for 89) and decided to head in next door to Misaki. Sushi chef Erik was on staff and made me a Rising Sun Roll and a lobster hand roll. Both were very good. A grad of Cape Cod Tech and CT. Culinary School he is well skilled and most polite.

Misaki is still a darn good spot. I head back with Jillian for lunch Friday.

I'm so happy to read your comments on Misaki. Over the last three years we have settled in and find it a most comfortable place to dine. We've come to appreciate the skills of the chefs, those out front and in the back, surely a unique variety of folks for a Japanese restaurant. The wait-staff, none of whom are Japanese, do a terrific job of explaining the food in an accurate and detailed way and presenting the food in a timely manner. The young owners are a joy to watch as they tackle the challenges of the small business entrepreneur. I am happy dining at Misaki every time I go. And, yes, there lunch bento box is perhaps the most healthy food and best buy offered on the Cape.

Nice reminder for a worthy spot!..... DW had the day today off so I took her for her favorite saba noodles and I had the always terrific Chef's special bento...spicy tuna, octopus salad and fried quail eggs were the stand outs on the always varied and generous box.
