You can also get PawPaw's in Berryville, VA - it's almost WVA. http://www.mackintoshfruitfarm.com/
I was just there on Tuesday 9/7 and bought 5 PawPaw's, 2 large tomatoes, 3 small peaches - the total was around $20.00-$25.00. I'd call them first just to check to see if they have some in stock. When I got there, they had one on display and I had to ask them to bring some out - they're kept in the fridge since they're so fragile.

I'll split an order with you! Where is Heritage Foods? That will save me a trip to WV to pick my own!

re: Transplanted Texan
Great idea, but it is $114 for 10 lbs, or about $8.50 a piece. Where do you go to get them in WVa? How much do they cost?

re: Steve
Well, you could go to Paw Paw, West Virginia. There are paw paw trees all over the place. There were also some paw paw trees in Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church and persimmons as well. We found them more suitable for throwing at each other than eating, though. 12 bucks a pound?! Wow, we sure threw away a lot of money.
