Atlanta Eats
Are there any decent Indian places in downtown? Staying at the Downtown Hilton.
What is the closest Indian place?
Most of the people won't have cars so Buford and perimeter are out. Decatur and midtown may be do-able.
Much thanks Atlanta!

Bhojanic: I know nothing about it except it's in Decatur not far from downtown and gets good reviews. Call to make sure they are still open.

re: JHLI
Bhojanic is one of the few Indian places that isn't strictly vegetarian. It's one of our favorites. And they have good beer.
I haven't hit any of the vegetarian Indian places in Decatur in so long that I don't have a good feel for what's still good. Udipi used to be a favorite, but I haven't been since they moved. There's also Zyka, but eating on styrofoam plates isn't the greatest. And whatever MSB (Madras Saravan Bhavan) is these days, it used to be really good.
None of these is going to be very accessible without a car. We're talking a really long cab ride from downtown or a good length one even from the nearest MARTA station.
Kind of similar situation, but Panahar on Buford Hwy is another option. It's Bangladeshi, IIRC, but the food is very similar. Would be a similar length cab ride from Lindbergh or Buckhead as the places in Decatur.
