CHOW WORTHY LUNCH ALONG ROBSON

Our first day in Vancouver after flying in we would like to stroll Robson and downtown maybe do some shopping but would like a nice lunch spot for first taste of Vancouver. Someplace that is not a generic chain gives a feel of Vancouver food scene. Some places that I scoped on Ipad map app were not open for lunch (Cin Cin, Hapa). TIA!

The Guus don't usually serve izakaya cuisine for lunch - only standard bento (unless this has changed recently.)

I can't think of a more "Vancouver" lunch than a JapaDog (on Robson).
