Bourdain in Paris, Part 2

Oakglen Sep 7, 2010 01:12 PM

Just aired; it's all about the newish bistrots etc. Now I will never get into Frenchie's. How he got so many famous chefs to participate is beyond me. Should be on the Travel Channel as well. Oh well.

Left US the day before it aired. Celebrated with first lunch at Chez Denise, where he went on Paris, part 1. What other places did he mention? If you read my earlier post, while Frenchie's ok, do not see the huge draw it is getting.

I can live without all of those. Let them have them.

Well, maybe not Desnoyer, but it's out of my league already anyway.

Is les Papillons les Papilles? That would be another exception.

It was the Café Les Papillons on Rue Mouffetard near the St. Medard church. Robuchon was impressed that an American liked Pied-Paquets.

Their breakfast at Jeu de Quilles was huge. the URL with descriptions is: http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows...
