Adapting regular muffin to mini Q's

I'm planning to use this recipe but make it in mini pans. The recipe says it makes 12 regular muffins. How many do you think this will make in the mini pans? I'm thinking maybe 3 times = 36.

Also, the temp is 425. I know I should cut the time down, but should I also cut the temp down?

The directions call for greasing the paper liners. Is this really necessary? I've never greased the liners.

  1. I can get 4 dozen mini muffins out of a recipe for 12 muffins. You could try cutting the temperature to 400 or be careful at 425 because it could be a matter of 30 seconds that could turn them from just underdone to overdone. I've never grease liners.

      Thanks, Chowser. I use an ice cream scoop for regular muffins and a cookie scoop for the minis, so 4 times seems about right. There's got to be enough fat in the cheese to offset greasing the paper liners. Will lower the heat and watch. Thank you for your advice.

      Will do a test run as well.
