Best Sports Bar for a Medium-Sized Group

Inasuitcase Sep 6, 2010 02:41 PM

I'd like to visit a Sports Bar this Thursday night for the Vikings vs Saints game with 10-15 friends in tow. Any suggestions as to where to go? Not too far north or south. We all live in the St. Paul area. Thanks!

Mac's Industrial (321 Central Mpls) Lots of taps, and very good (some are saying the best) barfood in town... Oh and they have HD source(s) to go along with a nice amount of flatscreens.

I like Mac's but there is not enough room for 10-15 people to sit together easily. If you don't mind 'mingling' about, then sure, foods good, beer choices are good.

I like the Bulldog Lowertown for sports games. Excellent tap list and above average pub grub.

Axel's Bonfire on Grand Avenue can probably fit your group with no problem at all. I'm not a huge fan of everything on their menu, but they have decent apps, large TVs and lots of space.

If Savage isn't too far south, McKrakens Pub is a great sports bar to watch the game. Their tvs are nice a spread out so its easy to see from any seat in the house.
