Squid ink / cuttlefish ink risotto in Manhattan?

I'm looking for a restaurant that makes black risotto or risotto al nero made out of squid ink. I've been looking on the web but the only one I found is at East15 which is asian. I'd like it from an italian restaurant. Any thoughts??

  1. i like the one at 15 east. i've only tried this dish one other tme at bolo but that restaurant is closed. i believe marea has this dish under the name nero never tried it so i dont know if it's good.

    1. Marea has what you're looking for.

240 Central Park South, New York, NY 10019

      1. If you're okay with a trek out to brooklyn (its not that far, i swear!) and waiting for a table because they dont take reservations, i cannot recommend al di la highly enough. their squid ink risotto is, like the rest of their menu, superlative.

check out the outer borough boards for the kajillion reports and opinions (and if you get there, try the tripe!)

        1. Bacaro has a good one:

136 Division St, New York, NY 10002

          1. Cacio E Vino has cuttlefish risotto...Definitely cheaper than Marea but not as good i'm sure.....

Place has decent ambience but terrible service

fideos negros at the tangled vine on the UWS is similar (and excellent), though not technically risotto.
