Sunday Brunch at the Blind Lady
So last weekend I took the wife and kids to BLAH on Sunday. It was just after noon so I guess it technically wasn't brunch ("too late for breakfast, but not quite lunch") but since we hadn't had breakfast yet that's how it felt. The place was about one-third full and this was the first time I'd noticed that they expanded another building over and thus added a large room. Excellent addition!
We ordered "Kid's" pizzas for the kids which they loved. BLAH is now one of their favorites for pizza, insuring more trips back for me!! My wife and I had a cheese plate and a charcuterie plate. I've raved about the cheese plates from BLAH in the past and the one we had last weekend was also very good. This was the first time I've tried the charcuterie and it was one of the best I've ever had. Except for the imported serano ham (very good!) all of the charcuterie was house made. There were three terrines, rabbit, beef and pork and all were very delicious. The charcuterie was accompanied by cured olives, cornichons other accompaniments. It was served with sliced, grilled bread that was well done. These plates cost $15 but are really large enough to be an entire meal for one person. I would highly recommend visiting BLAH for the charcuterie.
Of course the beers at BLAH are all expertly stored and served. I had my first taste of an Alpine IPA (O/Brien's) and am quickly becoming a big fan of Alpine Brewery.

Nice report, but I wouldn't call that Sunday brunch - they're open for lunch on weekends but they don't serve a brunch menu.
