Anyone have the "rules" for a food truck (high-end) in Charlotte?

Can't seem to get a good answer. Would rather do this on the "up and up" but would love to hear what the real rules are.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  1. Hey B, you might want to email Cassie & Natalie of Grateful Growers - since they have the Harvest Moon truck. I'm sure they could send you a link.

    1. If you want a good answer & do things on the up&up, I would suggest you call, or go down to, the local health department. They are there to help and will answer any questions you throw their way.

It's pretty simple...and way more accurate than trying to gather legal information on an internet discussion board.

      Best of luck.

      1. Do yourself a favor and ask the city - perhaps health dept rep and code enforcement. Probably more rules than you want to know, but best to find out from the source than going by word of mouth. I seem to remember for a truck you actually cook in you need to be associated with a restaurant or other inspected commercial kitchen. Most of the regulations are from the state I believe.
