HDinCentralME Sep 5, 2010 10:19 AM

Just a heads-up for now to save the date for this First Annual "Octoberfest" event in downtown Gardiner, Saturday 10/2 from 11am to 7pm; produced by Gardiner Main Street.

Local (Maine) beers and locally-grown pigs cooked in many delicious ways.

Advance tix will be available.

Will post more details when available.

    More details as promised.

In addition to swine and stein, there will be live music throughout the day.

Cost is *only* $11 which includes 3 5-oz drink tix. Non-drinking adults $6; 12 and under free.

Tickets purchased by Wed 9/15 also include souvenir glass.

Tickets available at many downtown Gardiner businesses or at Bull Moose Music locations. (And "at the door" day of event).

Swine & Stein? About the only possible way it could sound any better is if they added oysters.

I hope this is a theme that will gain traction across the land. My hat's off to the genius who thought this up.
