P&L Burgers - Moorpark: Comments?
- Servorg Sep 5, 2010 09:59 AM
We are going to be out in the Moorpark area today and I am thinking about trying P&L http://www.pandlburgers.com/ for lunch. Anyone have any comments or suggested dishes there? Any other places (no Thai or Mexican today) that they would like to throw into the mix?
I know this is short notice and I'm not going to be upset about any lack of replies (as I hate these deadline posts myself - and yet here I am doing it. Doh!) but I thank everyone is advance if they do reply.
Thank god no one replied to this post as I am embarrassed enough to have to come back and admit my wife said "Oh look, that place (as we were driving towards P&L) serves a champagne brunch." And that's how we ended up having a vile brunch at Cisco's (with some of the worst goopy, gloopy, Mexican-American steam table dreck - even their "freshly" prepared fajitas were abysmal - that it has ever been my displeasure to have eaten.
"The horror. The horror." ;-D>
I think you were still in Thousand Oaks on Arboles Street. The city of Moorpark is about 5 miles north. And anyone who lives in Thousand Oaks will agree with you about Cisco's. A half hearted attempt at Mexican food at best.
I've lived in T.O for many years and I still haven't tried P&L burgers yet. I think they were probably there before any other other burger joints. But now there is Habit , 5 Guys etc and P&L has lost it's cache, if it ever had any.
Yeah, sorry about the slight mix up. We had to be out in Moorpark and then kill about an hour and a half somewhere. I wanted to try P&L, but my wife was in the mood to have a drink of some kind and I didn't/don't think P&L had/have a liquor license. The funny/sad thing was my wife took one sip of the "champagne" they served and pronounced it awful. So no one ended up drinking. Bah humbug!
