Restaurant between Cambria and Big Sur

dcb188 Sep 5, 2010 05:46 AM

Three years ago, en route to Monterey from LA, we stopped for breakfast at a pricey restaurant right on the ocean, by itself, no neighbors that we could see. I wonder if anyone knows the name of this restaurant. All I can specify is that it is between Big Sur and Cambria, quite a distance, but this place was in an isolated location, not in a town.

    Ragged Point?

20 miles N of San Simeon.

Good! Got that straightened out...However, we find it not to be a memorable place other than location.

Memorable only for good views and very very high prices :)

If you're looking for a great place for a meal in this area - ROBIN'S in Cambria. Sit out on the patio. Savour every bite, drop and sniff.

Another really great place in Cambria is Black Cat Bistro. The Sow;s Ear Cafe is also wonderful! :)

My mistake. It was Rocky Point Restaurant, 10 miles south of Carmel. Farther north than I thought.
