Organic Restaurants for Dine-In / Take Out, in Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View?

Hi! We’re relatively new to living in Los Altos. We’ve been looking for organic restaurants for dining in or take-out, but found only a handful near us so far.

We’re interested in restaurants which use organic local ingredients, free-range and hormone/antibiotic-free meat, sustainable seafood, or at least have some of these options.

Do you know of others besides Calafia, Sprouts, Flea Street Café/The Cool Café, Sumika?

Thanks for your help!

  1. You might try Howie's Artisan Pizza - website and menu says local sourced organic ingredients...
also Lulu's - they use local fresh ingredients (might not be certified organic) - and I they did use Neiman Ranch Pork - not sure if still do - but they do make most everything from scratch....the Menlo Park menu is more extensive...

I think there was a newish restaurant in downtown that used mostly fresh and I think some organic ingredients - a Muracci's 2

Fraiche in downtown Palo Alto - organic fresh and frozen yogurt, some bakery items, steel cut oatmeal...

Forgot to mention Cool Cafe - owned by the same owner as Flea Street Cafe - on campus...

    2. Casa de Cobre in Saratoga fits your criteria and is one of the better Mexican places around. Depending on where you are in Los Altos, it may also be closer than the Menlo Park options.

Thank you to both of you for your suggestions. We can't wait to try these restaurants!

      2. A little farther out of the way in Campbell is
and a Cafe Gratitude in the Whole Foods in Cupertino.
Down the block from Casa de Cobre in Saratoga Village is The Basin and I believe they are the same owners but different cuisine. I encourage you to try both!
