  1. I've been for breakfast a few times. Good-ish French pastries, but for my money I'd much rather go to Clafoutis for same. I couldn't fathom it would be anywhere near as good as Brasserie La Provence down your way in ABQ. Would still love to hear from anyone who has been for dinner.

      Thanks,finlero!

I am asking because it is now listed on Restaurant.com for dining certificates. A lot of those places seem to be ones that are so-so and are trying to get people in the door. I see that it was part of the Dining Week earlier this year.

I have a certificate credit and am wondering if I should use it for Ze. There is nothing else around I want to use it on.

I agree, La Provence is a hard act to beat! Haven't tried Clafoutis yet.

No data on Z. You'll like Clafoutis, I'd think. Just bought a mess of cookies from them for my office the other day - my SF office is right across the street from them (and Clafoutis customers are always stealing our overflow parking spaces).

    2. This place has potential but is very inconsistant. The service can be terrible and I understand the chef is often absent. Small menu is not that French, more continental. Some of the items are good. The night we dined there the duck entree was excellent but the rest of the meal was uninteresting. Then the chocolate dessert wowed us. I would rather have simple French country fare at Claufouti. But they have short hours and are closed on sunday
