Anyone know where I can get some homemade Brioche Rolls preferably close to West Hollywood, but will be driving home this evening from Glendale so could stop someplace in between. Something similar to the ones Basix has (they don't sell them in their bakery).

The TJ ones are pretty good but too thick. We have to cut out the middle.

But they are our second choice. The ones at Thee's Bakery at Farmer's Market are perfect. 2

Not sure exactly what you mean by "home-made" but my wife swears by the brioche buns at Trader Joes although they are a little on the thick side.

Also you might try Vienna Cafe on Melrose which also has a baking company as part of the business. It's called the Melrose Baking Company and I'm pretty sure that's where the Village Idiot gets it's Brioche buns from ; )

Thanks for the reply. I think I meant tastes like homemade. I ended up getting them at Bristol Farms and they were really good. I'll definitely check out Melrose Baking Company.

Glad you got them! I've also seen them freshly baked from the Baker at the Sunday Mar Vista Farmer's Market....
