Happy to help! They also have great prices on tofu, seitan, tempeh, and Morningstar veggie burgers...

If you have a Whole Foods near you, you may want to compaire the prieces ont the tofu, etc. i love the Amys line of priducrts and they are WAY less At Whole foods than anywhere else, plus they have a HUGE selection.

Amy's items are cheaper in Wegman's than Whole Foods.. at least cheaper than the Whole Foods in Manhattan. I bought a pesto tortellini bowl this weekend from Wegman's- $3.39.

Wegman's brand tofu is $1.69. Not sure how much it is in Whole Foods. I usually buy it from the Chinese supermarket for $1.

I've never been to the Bridgewater store, but I've been to the others. Manalapan and Woodbridge are both pretty large stores with basically the same inventory... I would go to whichever is closer or easier to get to.

The deli/takeout is kosher as described by GilaB below. The in store bakery is not kosher. Typically, the store is set up so that the prepared food/ bakery is totally separate from the groceries... but still look around in that area. Sometimes they have little displays with recipe cards of what's in the takeout case. They have a deli refrigerated case that's marked "kosher" and there's usually glatt hot dogs, ground turkey, and sometimes chicken. It's all prepacked Empire stuff.. but the prices are good when they have the stuff.

Also.. look around the cheese section.. several of the goat and feta cheeses are kosher but mixed in with the regular cheeses. They have parmesan cheese for a very good price.

Most of the Wegman's brand dairy products are kosher- ricotta, cottage cheese, yogurt, pudding, milk. The "international" aisles also have a lot of kosher items. Lots of the Wegman's grocery items are kosher also.. mustard.. ketchup.. canned items.. peanut butter..tuna.

A new favorite- they have multipacks of Snikiddy snacks. They're in the organic section..

I don't know about the selection of packaged stuff, but I do know that NO Wegman's has a kosher deli, bakery or prepared foods section.

To be more precise, they frequently have a prepared foods section labeled kosher, but will have a sign up declaring that they do not have any kosher supervision, although they only use kosher ingredients in making the products sold in that section. Caveat emptor.
