Business Dinner in Brooklyn Heights?
Hi,
I am looking to take out-of-town foodies (from SF and Boston) out for a business dinner, and they are Brooklyn-curious. I'm thinking the Heights as it's still close to manhattan, beautiful to walk around, and I can take them to the promenade as well.
Any recommendations for a business dinner to rival manhattan?
thanks

To rival Manhattan? I guess it depends on what kind of business meeting this is. The only place in the heights that has that kind of flash is the River Cafe (as noted above.) But I don't know if I'd recommend that for a business dinner.... strikes me as the kind of place best reserved for proposals and anniversaries (I've only been there twice, so maybe I'm wrong.)
The heights doesn't boast a lot of great restaurants. You might try Noodle Pudding, for something more unusual (they have lots of game on the menu.) Or head over to Cobble Hill / Carroll Gardens to Saul or Prime Meats or Buttermilk Channel. Only trouble there is, 20 minute+ walk to the promenade.

Don't know if you can get a reservation (you didn't say when the dinner is going to be), but I would suggest the River Café. Manhattan quality service, spectacular views of Manhattan and food that is more than adequate (although not as spectacular as the prices could lead you to believe). Adjacent to the Fulton Ferry pier, Fulton Ferry Park and a short walk (uphill) to the Heights. Queen (Italian) has somewhat plain interior but very good Italian food, both new Italian and Italian American. Saul on Smith St. is just south of the Heights has a Michelin star and is appropriate for a business dinner.
