Uncle Darrows in Marina del Rey is good and the service is friendly. I stick with the Po Boys though. Their prices are a bit high.

Gumbo Pot in the Farmer's Market is another option....it was actually not bad the last 2 times I've been.

Rajun Cajun in Hermosa Beach is pretty extensive wiht their offerings...they even have the Voodoo beer brand (4 bucks!). The food wasn't too good here..but they had crawfish etoufee, etc.

Never been to Harold and Belles....supposed to be good, more upscale.

Three in the South Bay are my favorites:

Rajun Cajun - Pier Avenue - Casual, fun bar, pretty good food, great selection, good prices, Vodoo beer, local N.O. owner

New Orleans Cafe - further towards the ocean on Pier Avenue as well. Better food, less atmosphere. Higher prices, more authentic. Closed Tues & Wed.

Cafe Boogaloo - Right on Hermosa Ave. by beach. More upscale, food is wonderful, less tratitional, bar / club atmosphere with live music most nights that starts at 9 pm. Full bar.

A small group of us happened upon the NO cafe when it first opened a few years back and we weren't impressed, but just recently a different bunch of fellow creole friends and relatives had an excellent experience. I suppose they've gotten their act together, and I look forward to trying them out again sometime soon. Supposedly the jambalaya was particularly good.
