Does this Piero Selvaggio restaurant still exist in Sherman Oaks? I am looking to take a client in Sherman Oaks to an upscale lunch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Posto was run by a relative of Valentinos owner, Piero Selvarrio and he was the reason the restaurant went out of business. Most rude person I have ever met and our friends who went to the restaurant agreed.... Bad place... Was at Panzanella last night with friends and they have delightful and attentive staff and the food is very good!

Our favorite spot on Ventura is Mistral......

Panzanella has surprisingly good food--particularly the panzanella!

Mistral has the best lunch environment in Sherman Oaks, and probably the best food as well. Max is closed for lunch, while I would guess the environment at Senor Fred would not be what you are looking for.
As to Bizou or Tiramisu, neither food wonderful, and bizou can be VERY noisy.

Skip Posto. for good Italian go to Il Tiramisu. Better upscae non-Italian in the area might be Cafe Bizou. Or hit, say, Mistral, Fred, Max or something like that.

Piero sold Posto around 1.5 years ago, and it is now Panzanella operated by some of the Drago brothers. The look is quite similar, and the food is passable, and it kept the same phone number of 818.784.4400. Definitely one of the nicer Italian restos on the boulevard for a lunch meeting, yet the food is hardly revelatory for 'hounds, but should suffice for your need.
